Disadvantages of a Slow PC

If you've ever had to work with a Slow PC, then chances are you can understand the frustration that can exist as a result of trying to accomplish anything on a machine that is crippled by system errors, minimal disk space availability, and malicious software that does nothing but eat away at the system processing resources until you're left with a machine that moves at the speed of grass growing. Nothing is more frustrating than double clicking on a program shortcut and then having to get up and walk away for a couple minutes in order to kill time while the program is loading. The fact of the matter is that this is just not necessary and can be avoided if the right steps are taken. By performing a few simple tasks, which will be identified later in the article, you can eliminate this type of situation and have a much more efficient and dependable computer to work with.

One of the biggest disadvantages of a Slow PC is in fact the slowness that is experienced just like in the situation above. A Slow PC will become bogged down with queued up system actions and program commands and will ultimately come to a standstill because of the lack of processing power. When this happens, you'll typically have to resort to physically turning the machine off because it will take the least amount of time and will at least give you a chance to start with a clean slate when the machine restarts.

Another disadvantage of a Slow PC is the fact that it's going to cost you money to take care of the problem, especially if you don't know how to repair a PC. Having a tech support team can sometimes be costly depending on the procedures that you are having them do, so it may be just as costly to buy an entirely new machine. In most cases however, the costs of repairing a Slow PC are much lower than the costs of actually buying a new computer. If you want to fix your Slow PC you can perform just about any type of repair activity on your own without having to pay someone. Some of the more common activities involved in fixing a Slow PC include registry scanning and repairing, disk clean up or disk space clean up, disk de-fragmentation, spy ware and malware scans, hardware expansion and more. All of these activities can help you fix your Slow PC and get you back up to speed once more.
